Fernando Rodriguez
As an active member of the Palm Springs Gay Softball League for ten years, Fernando was involved in the creation of the league in 2005.
In 2006, Fernando was asked by the original PSGSL Board to manage and coach the first ever team to represent PSGSL at GSWS in Ft. Lauderdale, and also played and managed the teams, Club W and Spurline, before moving to Arizona in 2009.
He returned to the PSGSL in 2019, and formed and managed Past Our Prime (POP) coaching the team to a 3rd place finish at 2022 GSWS in Dallas in the team’s first year. In 2023, POP won the first ever Legends C Division NAGAAA Cup in Salt Lake City. In 2024, POP defended as NAGAAA Cup champions in Houston and also won Sin City Classic 2024 in the Legends C division.
Fernando has also served as the Open Division Director on the PSGSL board and attended several softball clinics as an instructor. His involvement over the years has significantly contributed to PSGSL.
Bradley Martinson
Bradley Martinson has been a member of the Palm Springs Gay Softball League from the beginning of its formation.
Over the years, Bradley has played on upper division teams in the league including being a member of the very first softball team our league was able to send to a World Series, which was a B division team in 2006 which was held in Fort Lauderdale. That year he was a member of team that won several tournaments while being sponsored by The Barracks.
In addition, Bradley represented the Scorpions as a league representative, played in 5 World Series and was a member award winning team Past Our Prime (POP). In 2022, POP placed 3rd at GSWS, Dallas, was named NAGAAA Cup 2023 Champions and Sin City 2024 Champions in their respective division.
Over the years, Brad has been very supportive of PSGSL league events, and he has been encouraging to players and teams in the league.
Rob Cole & Tool Shed
After twenty active years in the Palm Springs Gay Softball League, the Tool Shed was one of the original teams and league sponsors, including supporting/sponsoring the 2020/2021 NAGAAA Cup, a national tournament in Palm Springs.
Today, Rob and Tool Shed sponsors two teams in the PSGSL including the Heat Strokes and Rumbles as well as supports the annual Turkey Shootout.
While attending games and supporting his teams weekly with enthusiasm, Rob feels extremely lucky to have both the friendship of his players as well as the hard work and dedication the Heat Strokes and Rumbles have shown to the league and sport overall.
